In the 2022 season, the average annual salary of players in the K1 league was 282.11 million won (about 1.55 million yuan). The player with the highest annual salary was Jeju United foreign aid striker Gerso, whose annual salary was 1.7 billion won (about 9.35 million yuan). All North Hyundai defender Kim Jin-soo is the highest-paid domestic player, reaching 1.47 billion won (8.08 million yuan).
The total annual salary of players in the K1 league in the 2022 season was 120.86064,000 won (about 660 million yuan), and the salary expenditure of each club was ranked as follows: 19.713993 billion won (108 million yuan) for Jeonbei Hyundai, 17.685256 billion won (about 97.35 million yuan) for Ulsan Hyundai, 12,3601.76 billion won (68.2 million yuan) for Jeju Union and 11.3567 billion won (62.15 million yuan) for FC Seoul.
Chengnan, which was demoted to the K2 league, had the lowest total salary, with a total annual salary of 6.120399 billion won (about 33.55 million yuan).
