The 30-year-old Rafael played for Wuhan Changjiang during the 2018-2021 season. He made 42 appearances, scored 32 goals and assisted 9 times.
In April 2022, Rafael joined Cruzeiro in the Brazilian second division, played 18 times, contributed 6 goals and 3 assists.
