Chelsea official: Vivier serves as the club’s technical director, responsible for recruiting players.

December 21-Chelsea officially announced today that Weir will be the club’s technical director. During his tenure, Weir will be responsible for recruiting players of all ages at the club.
After accepting Chelsea’s appointment, Weir said: “Chelsea are building the most exciting project in world football and I am very proud to join this club.” Chelsea have unlimited potential and will continue to be successful, sustainable and growing. Under the leadership of the new manager Porter and his team, the team has a clear and sustainable concept based on performance analysis, data and innovation, and I look forward to playing my role in this regard. ”
Chelsea President Burley and holding owner Behdad Eghbali jointly said: “We are very pleased that Weir has played this important leadership role at Chelsea.” His previous work in Germany and Austria is obvious to all, and we believe he will continue to write a new chapter at Chelsea. He will provide important technical support to manager Porter and his team and play an important role in our overall vision of the club. ”
Prior to that, Weir worked in the Bundesliga RB Club Leipzig and Salzburg RB Club. Weir worked as a scout and recruitment director at RB Club Salzburg for five years, before which he worked as a scout for the first team of Hoffenheim.
