Foreign media: Chelsea Football Club is ready to sign Enzo with a record transfer fee and has quoted 127 million euros.

December 28-Chelsea’s new boss has made an offer of more than 127 million euros for Benfica.
Chelsea are set to pay Benfica a record transfer fee to bring World Cup winning midfielder Enzo Fernandez to the Premiership next month, according to Record Sport.
Chelsea’s new boss has made an offer of more than 127 million euros for Benfica to sign the Argentina international. Benfica is currently fighting to win the Portuguese Premier League and qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League and they do not want to jeopardize both goals by selling Enzo in the middle of the season. Chelsea hope the midfielder will push the club for an immediate transfer as they try to reverse the difficult first season under Todd Burley.
Enzo’s excellent performance at the World Cup in Qatar and his performance in the first half of the European season have made the 21-year-old a substitute for Bellingham in competition from major clubs.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris St Germain and Real Madrid are all keen to take Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund in the summer and Benfica believes they can keep Enzo until the end of the season and can still earn a transfer fee of more than 80 million euros for the player. Enzo joined Riverbed in June with an initial transfer fee of 10 million euros. He started all league games at Benfica and the midfielder scored twice in the Champions League. He made seven appearances during the World Cup.
Enzo returned to Lisbon on Tuesday and will discuss Chelsea’s offer with the team. According to the contract, Benfica will pay 25% of the midfielder’s next transfer fee to Riverbed. It is reported that Benfica is open to the terms of the summer transfer.
