Ma Dexing: The U17 women’s football team will participate in South Asian competitions, and Russia’s entry into the AFC has officially begun
February 16th news that the Russian women’s football team has confirmed their participation in the South Asian U17 women’s football championship.
The Football Association’s action has officially begun.
The South Asian U17 Women’s Football Championship originally had four teams from Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, and Nepal participating. However, the Russian Football Association has been negotiating with the AFC and FIFA during the AFC meeting on February 1 to understand the transfer to the AFC.
The feasibility of the competition is said to be positive, and this participation in the South Asian U17 Women’s Football Championship is considered a “test of the waters”.
So far, the AFC, UEFA and FIFA have not expressed their views on this matter. Since the Russian Football Association was banned by UEFA last year, Russian teams cannot compete with European and American teams.
Warm up with the Central Asian team.
The South Asian U17 Women’s Football Championship will be held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, from March 20th to March 28th. A total of 5 teams from Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Bhutan and Russia will participate. The team with the most points after 5 rounds will win the championship.
The Russian women’s football team played successively against Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and India.
