Morgan: Cristiano Ronaldo is the best Messi in history, only Argentina and France will win the World Cup and break Messi’s heart.

December 14-Argentina beat Croatia 3-0 to advance to the World Cup semi-finals. Morgan posted after the game: I think Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in history, Maradona second, Messi third or even fourth, after Ronaldo. On talkSPORT today, Morgan elaborated on why Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in history.

“I think this is one of the greatest competitions of all sports and we are lucky to have both of them. Lionel Messi did well against Croatia. He is one of the greatest players of all time, but the real focus is whether he is the greatest. At this point, I will always defend Cristiano Ronaldo and I think he deserves it.
“GOAT is not a title you can win in a World Cup, not to mention Messi hasn’t won the World Cup yet.
“remember that Cristiano Ronaldo is two years older than Lionel Messi, and also remember that unlike Lionel Messi who spent 17 years in Barcelona’s comfort zone, Ronaldo won the league title in four different countries (in fact, Ronaldo did not win the Portuguese Super Cup. Only won a Portuguese Super Cup in 2002), including the three most competitive leagues in the world.
“Cristiano Ronaldo could have stayed at Real Madrid for most of his career, but he deliberately allowed himself to go to different leagues to face different challenges. Messi can only do it in Barcelona. He is surrounded by the best players in the world. Cristiano Ronaldo often needs to take the lead.
“I like this debate, it’s exciting, but the reality is that they are two of the three greatest players of all time. To me, Maradona is the GOAT of Argentina and Messi doesn’t even have that title.
“if you look at the career goals, the Champions League goals, Ronaldo is far ahead. His header and feet are good, even though Messi has left foot magic. I can gather a lot of facts and come to the conclusion that not only is Cristiano Ronaldo the GOAT, but Lionel Messi is only the second greatest player in Argentine history.
“and I think France will win the World Cup and break Messi’s heart anyway.”
