Owen: Webber’s return will strengthen the best position of English referees in the world, and less VAR is expected to be used.

Dec 29-the 51-year-old former Premier League referee Howard Webber will return to England in the next few months to take over as Chief Magistrate of the English Professional referee (PGMOL). Former England international Michael Owen also expressed his views on Twitter.
Owen wrote: “Howard Webber is going home, which is positive news for our tournament.” Despite a lot of complaints, our referee is the best in the world, and his appointment will only strengthen that position. It is estimated that VAR will be used less from now on. ”
