The Times: Chelsea are optimistic about the renewal of Cantor and Jorinho and will negotiate with the latter

December 30-the Times reported that Chelsea are optimistic about renewing contracts with Cantor and Jorinho, two midfielders.
Both Cantor and Jorinho’s contracts with Chelsea expire this summer and two days later, in 2023, both will be able to start negotiations with other teams. However, Chelsea Football Club is no longer worried that Cantor will leave, while the Blues have made an offer for a contract extension to Jorinho.
Cantor was a target for Paris Saint-Germain and Paris tried to sign him in 2018, but that summer Cantor signed a five-year contract with Chelsea with a weekly salary of £300000 and the French midfielder became the club’s highest-paid player.
Jorinho’s agent Santos said: “We have received a proposal from Chelsea to sign a new contract and our priority now is to negotiate with Chelsea.”
Chelsea are also looking for heavyweight midfielders, including Enzo Fernandez, Bellingham and Condoleezza Rice, who could be targeted by the Blues. Nevertheless, the renewal of Cantor and Jorinho are also very important to the club.
